BORSHCH is a Berlin-based printed magazine that aims to unravel the connections in electronic music. BORSHCH #1 introduces conversations with musicians of different genres and cultural backgrounds and also people from the industry, from illustrators to book sellers. Tiago Biscaia, a Portuguese graphic designer based in Berlin, founded this magazine with Ukrainian editor Mariana Berezovska and invited me to join him in the art direction and design of its first issue.
With a raw cutting look inspired by the industrial and techno club culture, we organized the content in different main themes, which had key concepts attached to them and provided a trailer for what was about to be read in each section. They were separated by these orange pages inspired by concrete poetry, providing the magazine with a contrast of rhythms, in addition to its in-depth written content.
